Many in positions of power are presumed to have “the people’s best interests” at heart, while strongmen exist because of “societal leanings towards authoritarianism..” Acculturation is the demonstration and enforcement of - accepted values, behaviors and roles. In America that acculturation is deemed, “assimilation: adopting American values.” Define, “American Values”.
Current values are reflected in the socioeconomic situation of its people. The betrayal of cause for chicken change, every time. So is the demand of adherence, in the cause of self preservation.. here - in America. What that looks like, depends on what you mean by that .. the definitive answer is the “preservation of white”. It is a known core “American Value”. What that also does, is engage deep anti-Black American hatred. Proof will be in responses to the ever existing threat to Black communities. To the Indigenous People.. values.
1790 .. Everyone has passed through the eye of the needle. Today’s pressures seem untenable and unthinkable. You do not know America. Concurrently dismissing and condemning.. 1780s to be a colonial negro in revolutionary times - post declaration, a chance to forge a true freedom. Nationality Act of 1790 - the noise you are hearing is the politicization of race, veiled as immigration. Nation of origin plus/minus how useful your group is. To be Chinese is to be Asian, race greater than nationality - Irish is to be white, race greater than nationality. A history of people coming and asking America - petitioning to be white. Of course the brazenness would be a shock any system, but this is “the system”. As so many often refer to this as. Nah, it’s simple. Daily reminders of how the country goes along to get along. No major difference in the now as opposed to before. Frame the picture with Black - the safety of women is relative to their Blackness. Yes. Re-parenting is a thing for the assimilation, so to see it be “denied” in a congressional hearing is .. (back of wrist to forehead). Family care supported by Medicaid, sold as fraud .. (deep astonished gasp) .. the thread is common. America will not save itself from its own core values. Those who are convinced that talking about race and the ills of the country is a distraction, are doing the most basic of things. That thing in America is to isolate the issues from its own history. So, of course you are comfortable with the federal use of racism - immigration is rooted in race.

Calls for engagement in a “resistance to fascism!” - still actively being racist. Commodification of Black pain - “We are entitled to reparations too!” The mystical 6th region of Africa .. the ache in my soul, the price paid to even be “semi-free”. The “success of immigrants” is used to frame racism as, “Black laziness” .. you agreed all too eagerly. The omission of the “why and how”, America offered hope and opportunity. More importantly, why there was/is no recognition of those who paid the toll .. Now, the battle for “Black” matters - and the people watched, it burned as they predicted. Still, they were ignored.
